We’re not coffee gurus but do appreciate a good cup in the mornings. For the past 15 years we’ve bought whole beans and used a blade type grinder. I finally decided to try a burr grinder and am glad I did. The coffee just tastes better. I’m impressed by the build of this machine. As advertised it’s easy to clean and there’s no static in the receiving cup. It’s not silent by any means but it is quieter than the blade grinder we’ve been using. I’d recommend it to family and friends.

For the same price, this seems to be better than the Mr. Coffee and Cuisnart flat burr grinders. The grind is definitely more consistent and for the first few grinds, there’s no powdery residue blasted into the collection container. Worked well really with my French Press.
It’s not quiet, but again, it’s far more quiet that the flat burrs (so relatively quiet).
5 stars at the $50 price point if the item had arrived on time. The overnight prime option didn’t make it. Had to cancel the original order and reorder the grinder to get it delivered at all. Not sure where the original box got lost in transit, but not great.

It¡¯s great inexpensive machine! Recommend!

I am a French Press gal. I had trouble getting a good French Press grind at the coffee stores so I thought a home grinder might be preferable.
I read many reviews of this grinder before I bought it. I think it is fantastic. I experienced an issue with the grinder and sent an email to the company (Walmart). I received a response within 24 hours. After I sent them requested pictures and videos to demonstrate the issue, they wrote and said a new grinder was on the way. This all took place within 3 or 4 days. Very impressive customer service.

I spent a good amount of time reading comments from different coffee grinders, and did some research. At the end, I purchased this grinder and so far, it has been an excellent grinder. I have made different types of coffee, espresso, french, drip pour, and this item allows to select the best grinder! Love it. No complains so far.
Cons: Its a bit loudy, but way less than my old Grinder, so I am fine with that!

We really like this grinder

Much quieter than my old one (although, hey its a grinder) and does a great job. One button start once it is set up for quick and easy use.

unlike other brand grinder – lots of complains about not good for espresso machines.
good that I found this product which is very reasonable priced. with lots confirmations (review) for making expresso. I also certify that it grinds coffee fine enough for making espresso.

I had never purchased a coffee grinder before and therefore didn’t have practical experience to guide my purchase decision. For a first time purchase, this isn’t a bad machine and I am quite pleased with it. It is extremely easy to use, just push a button. However, now that I’ve used the machine for a few weeks, there are some things which I can formulate an opinion on.
The grind level is much more fine than I personally prefer. Even on the most coarse setting, the grind is surprisingly fine and resembles that which is commonly found in pre-ground packaged coffees. The finest setting creates a grind that almost has the consistency of a fine dust.
Since my family all leaves the house at varying times of the morning, I try to avoid excess noise whenever possible. For this reason, I am trying to grind the coffee we would use for the week in a single setting. This machine does not handle the task as well as I had hoped. It is designed for one or two grind sessions before a short five minute cool down is required. Again, this is not a flaw of the machine but rather a reflection of how I had anticipated using it.
Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

No more guess work. Grinding coffee to your preferences has never been easier for me. I struggled for years with Mr. Coffee type grinders that swirled the beans around only time and time again finding uneven beans to include chips. Now this one is so easy and can be does the job with precision and uniformity. I find minimum grounds on the table when prepping. I would like to be able to purchase more containers since they grind into this nice storage containers and I have several special coffees I choose from every morning.

I’m extremely pleased with this grinder. The grind appears to be a significant improvement over my older coffee mate burr grinder but the biggest improvement is in the noise level. I would grind beans the night before with the old grinder to avoid waking my kids and wife in the mornings and the noise was painful to my ears when in the same room. This machine is loads quieter and appears to run at a lower pitch that is far less jarring.
I was skeptical given the brand name but I’ve been running this every day for somewhere around a month now and have had no problems whatsoever. Very pleased and would recommend this as an affordable, quiet, and consistent grinder.
I’ve only used it for drip and aeropress at this point so not too much experience varying grind sizes.

If you are still using a small burr grinder and do espresso I recommend this. Gravity dropping the fresh grinds and static free bin works great! If you grind for French press though you will have some chaf stick to the sides but it isn¡¯t a lot.

So far, we are enjoying this coffee grinder. Owned for around 5 months. Seems well built.

Absolutely love this grinder! A little more noise than I expected but definitely within reasonable levels. Would recommend.

I purchased this grinder about one year ago and it preformed better than any grinder I have ever used because they solved the static electric issues that I experienced with all my other grinders. This was literally a ¡°no mess¡± grinder. Recently the static electricity started to become a problem and I was getting a mess on my counter everyday no matter how carefully I poured the grinds into my coffee maker. I wrote to Walmart and explained the issue I was having and they shipped me a replacement unit. I thought they might tell me a way to restore the anti static properties of the unit but instead they sent me a replacement. What a great company. They stand behind ever part of their product. It was advertised as anti static and when it stopped working they replaced it. Amazing service

This is my third burr grinder. My previous two were a Cuisinart and a Mr. Coffee (both had to be replaced due to my error). This one is definitely the best of the three. It is the quietest (although still pretty loud). It also had the most consistent grind in terms of both quantity and even grind. I would definitely recommend!

Bean hopper was broken, right out of the box. Pretty darn inconvenient.
UPDATE: Seller contacted me & sent a replacement. Great service and really liking the grinder!

I’ve had a Cuisnart burr grinder for 10 years that finally needed replacement. I’ve had this one for about a week now. I like the Walmart Grinder better for some aspects, but also miss the design and feel of the Cuisnart. Time will tell if it lasts 10 years of daily grinding.
Better: Its quieter than and seems to provide more consistent sized grinds.
Worse: The design and feel is not as good. The top cover for the coffee bean holder is cheap and not easy to lift to pour more beans in. The bottom coffee ground hopper just kinda sits underneath and if not aligned, you grounds will end up allover the counter.

Great coffee grinder

The item is perfect for personal use. I grind a pound of beans in three batches. I find in batches. The unit grinds until the automatic shut off comes on to avoid burning the motor.
If you are looking to grind beans daily this is it.
Great item for the price.
MrsHurst –
Love that i can change how fine it will grind and how many cups. Its perfect for espresso machine and even regular coffee machine. Hold plenty of beans in the top and can grind a lot into the bottom container. Its a tab but noisy but doesnt bother me.
Steve Burt –
I¡¯ve been through a few coffee grinders and this one is the best I¡¯ve used.
B St. Anger –
Although the the price is higher than our old blade-based grinder, the Walmart is worth the additional expense. It is 3x the speed and 2x quieter over our old blade grinder with an additional benefit of grind choice and quality. If you are currently not using a burr grinder I would highly recommend going that route.

I purchased Walmart Conical Burr Coffee Grinder model CG9406-UL2 to replace Cuisinart DBM-8. Cuisinart was a disaster for me. Large amount of coffee would always stay under grind chamber and entire counter area was very messy. Static was ruining grinding process each time. Each grinding job was a dreaded task due to cleaning efforts and removal of ground coffee tossed all over. I had coffee on my shoes, on my shirt, on my hands after cleaning session. What a mess! In my case with Cuisinart each grind chamber filled with coffee corresponded to up to 2 teaspoons of coffee found under grind chamber and on the surrounding area. Fortunately for me after a year of random usage Cuisinart quit working. About 75 LBs total coffee bins were ground. Most of coffee brands seemed too oily to it. It required some gentle tapping to allow coffee move down – and after one of grinding session I was no longer able to open the unit for cleaning. At this moment I looked for and purchased obviously anti-static grinder. I actually bought it for anti-static peoperties. Walmart arrived with no instructions, but I found directions from a few available videos. First grinding session was a delight. The difference was very dramatic. Zero spills. Zero!!! ZERO!!! I wish I had pictures showing entire mess caused by Cuisinart – and comparison pictures with Walmart. The counter area is very clean now. Coffee grinder inside has no sign of any ground coffee spilled. In fact, the grind chamber had clean walls after emptying it. I noticed noise is much less offending. Noise is very critical to me, as I work with a lot of ambient noise daily. So I wish to stay in quiet places as possible. And I completely don’t trust others when they write something is quiet or not. Zero value to me. 95% of such statements are nothing but opinions by people who use plenty of noisy apliances like loud refridgerators, loud washers, generally loud trash made with little to no concern regarding noise. So I really hear Walmart being quieter than Cuisinart and the difference is considerable. I am pleased very much for that reason. I am happy also that I received cleaning brush, now cleaning is simple and quick. Cuisinart has larger coffee bean hopper and grind chamber, I am missing them now. Otherwise both do not allow grinding more than small quantity coffee, because of getting warm. As a seller advises, 3 minutes for grinding, then 30 minutes for cooling. In my case grind setting is 15, between Drip – Espresso and it takes exactly 1 minute to fill grind chamber to referred mark point called MAX and corresponding to 12 cups. I use various organic brands, always Medium to Light Roast. I avoid oily brands and Dark Roast. I think they are made with worst quality coffee beans with fungus and coffee grinder is more likely to get clogged.
What I wish to be improved? A cable is rather stiff, like old fashion cables were 20 years ago. It could be a nicer looking, smooth finish and flexible cable that easily fills space among other cables. This cable gives me discomfort each time I hold it, unplug or plug it. At certain point moving grinder away caused such stiff cable to push a desk lamp standing nearby. I feel like having a surplus cable picked from some landfill trash. That cable is not matching overall pleasing feel, look and entire experience with Walmart coffee grinder. Overall 5 stars.

This grinder does a great job especially for the price.. The anti-static cup truly is anti-static..!!! The grind is very accurate, this unit does a far better job than any other in its price range, I¡¯ve tried quite a few..!!!

I use this coffee grinder almost once a day and it¡¯s been great so far. Having to clean it can be a little annoying sometimes since there¡¯s no specific mechanism to release residual grounds (at least not that I know of), but overall it¡¯s not too noisy and has a good range of ground sizes ranging from espresso (1) to French press (35).
Summer Back –
It¡¯s very easy to use and works well. For the price I paid it is worth it.

We use this item every day and for the last few months it has started to get very static coffie every were there was no static for a long time very confusing
